Perth’s The Townhouse wins AA Bed & Breakfast of the Year Scotland
Five star boutique bed and breakfast in Perth, The Townhouse, has been awarded AA Bed & Breakfast of the Year Scotland 2025, reaffirming the fair city’s growing reputation as a destination for standout hospitality.
The award, announced today by the AA as part of its annual Hospitality Awards, recognises The Townhouse as the leading bed and breakfast in Scotland, celebrated for its exceptional standards, stylish interiors, and the warmth of its welcome.
A handsomely restored Georgian townhouse overlooking the South Inch on Marshall Place, The Townhouse has become a firm favourite with visitors from across the UK and beyond. It was awarded the accolade as it met the stringent criteria of excellent levels of hospitality and service, high-quality accommodation, memorable breakfast, high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping, and individuality and charm.
David Henderson, who co-owns The Townhouse with Laurent Moller, said: “We are honoured to win this prestigious award. However, this award isn’t just a win for us, it’s a win for Perth. We’re passionate about showing off the best of our city, and we’re proud to give our guests a memorable stay in the heart of Scotland. We will continue to maintain service and standards to the highest level to reflect this prestigious accolade.”
The AA hospitality Awards are considered a gold standard within the industry. Celebrating hotels, restaurants, pubs and B&Bs that go above and beyond, they play a vital role in highlighting excellence and driving standards across the sector.
As a national award winner, The Townhouse will also be in the running for the overall UK title at the AA Hospitality Awards ceremony at London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House in September.
